Memorial University is a research-intensive institution with over 1,330 faculty and 2,474 staff supporting students from nearly 100 countries. It was founded in September 1925 as a memorial to Newfoundlanders and Labradorians who died in World War I. The new core sciences building equipped with a massive skeleton of a blue whale is becoming an attraction that draws both locals and foreigners to this place.

St. John's and NL
St. John's is the largest city in the Newfoundland and Labrador province with beautiful sights and beautiful people. It is one of the oldest city in Canada and has a very deep and rich culture among the aboriginals. It's fitted with rows of colorful houses known as "Jellybean Row" houses. It also has multiple recreation sites for sports such as baseball, lawn tennis, football, basketball, rugby, swimming and golf scattered around the province.
